{Day 3} Sharing Our Struggles - Proverbs 28:13

13 Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
    but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

{Day 3}

We moms need each other.

We need to share our struggles, our triumphs, and our hopes with one another. Triumphs easily roll of our tongue as we answer the phone and a friendly voice is on the other end.

We relay our hopes and dreams to our closest friends, knowing that they'll keep them locked up in confidence. Our most intimate details are saved for the most intimate relationships. That's the way it's meant to be.

But it's those hardships we cringe to let the world see.

I want you to think about this the next time you are tempted to put on a façade that says all is well when it's really not: The moment we stop sharing our struggles is the moment we assist in a fellow mom's retreat into the shadow of loneliness. We need to know we're not the only one.

It's that important.

It isn't weak to admit we screw up. It's actually a sign of strength. You know you can't do this alone. That's strength. Pride can so easily slip in when we think we need to appear capable all the time.

The apostle Paul talks about this in 1 Corinthians 12:9 when he says,

" ... Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

I'll have a large helping of God's power resting on me, please.
How about you?
