delightful December and the new year

Hello, 2013! I'll admit that I wasn't prepared for how quickly 2012 came to an end.

We've had the blessing of family visiting the last two weeks, and they have all flown home now.

Sad.  It's so hard living far away from the ones you love.

But at the same time, it's a blessing to love so deeply that it's hard to be away.

I guess it's a good thing that I've been too delightfully busy (and sometimes frustratingly busy around the house) to be on the computer and blogging.  We had a wonderful Christmas with Jeremy's entire immediate family here with us from near and far.  I have loads of pictures from our time together.  I just need to find the time to download and organize them for posting... I'm hoping to do some of that later today during naptime.

But to start the new year, I've made a list of things I'd like to be more intentional about in 2013.  Some of them I'm already doing, and some of them are things I'd like to start getting in the routine of doing.  So here goes:

Amanda's More Intentional List for 2013

Prayer with Jeremy before bed
Meal planning on the weekend for the week ahead
Read aloud to the kids at night
Write for 15 minutes a day
Exercise a few days a week
Spend time reading with Morgan and Morgan to me
Memorize the books of the Bible with the kids

there you have it - the public version!

  1. Hi Amanda,
OK! This comment is 8 months late, but I think your goals for 2013 are awesome! It makes me want to do that for 2014. Well, maybe I go ahead and implement them right now, but really do them in earnest for next year. Thanks for posting.
    In Christ,
    Bethany
